This is the second time exhibition of Itoshitsu aka Sachiko Isobe.
Made of kadi cotton with a plain and rustic texture.
The cloth is made by piecing together the plain and rustic texture of kadhi cotton.
Her work, which I have not seen in three years, has a very different feel to the fabric.
The texture of the cloth and the expression of the patchwork works,
I feel that her works have become deeper.
Please feel free to enjoy the cool fabrics that make
you want to look through the window and stare at them.
In keeping with the season
Silk, linen and cotton fabrics with a sense of transparency.
Each piece is individually collaged with a different expression.
When you look at the work you receive
I couldn’t help but want to look at them through the light
When I did so naturally the word ‘window’ in the title came to mind.
We would also like to introduce the tea mats that were made for this exhibition.
At first, we had an image of a rectangular mat,
however, when we visited Isobe’s atelier, I received cookies made by her mother as a souvenir. The shape of the cookies was very nice and free, so I thought it would be nice if they were oval or something that would fit in for the works of Itoshitsu.
