Breathing. That was the word that came to mind upon seeing Taichi Abe’s new works.
When discussing an artist’s transformation, the term “evolution” is often used,
but Abe’s feels more natural, like the ceaseless, repetitive cycle of life itself.
This exhibition features not only ceramics but also new approaches like wood carvings.
Though the materials differ, they all exist on the same continuum, always bearing Abe’s signature forms, lines, and breath.The way shapes shift with the rhythm of natural living feels quintessentially Abe, and I find it wonderful.
Things that change and things that remain unchanged. Please come and see for yourself.

We will explore how the works came to be,
discussing thoughts during creation and recent reflections.
Through conversation, we shall uncover a glimpse of this process.
This time, enjoy a relaxed moment with herbal tea
blended specially for this event by Taichi Abe himself,
who has studied phytotherapy.
